THE FILMMAKER

DANIEL E. SPRINGEN

WRITER / DIRECTOR

Daniel E. Springen is a Directors Guild of America filmmaker with more than 25 years of professional experience in directing and assistant directing. Over the course of his career, he has worked on numerous productions while developing projects as a director, producer and writer. He also serves as Executive Director of the Orlando Film Festival and the Wild Rivers Film Festival in Brookings, Oregon, where his work and travels through Southern Oregon eventually led him to the Weasku Inn. What began as a visit to a remarkable place became the inspiration for WEASKU—a film about the people who passed through it and those who stayed behind.
